I don't know about other states, but I think these are illegal in California. Then again, isn't everything illegal in California?

^ agreed everything is illegal, no front plate, no tints, no radar detector, no stickers on windows, no lowering cars, no loud exhausts, no wide wheels, ETC......

But who listens anyways :P My next investment would be a laser jammer but, I've only encountered like two lasers during my 3 years of driving.

It usually happens when:

1. You least expect it.

2. When you're hauling @$$ down the highway.

My next investment will be the laser Deflectors. Looking at about $1000-1200 installed and set up nice with the computer unit inside the ashtray compartment. I'm a CDL class A driver (local) by trade so it's important for me to protect my license. Not that I go speeding around everywhere but it happens when you least expect it like he said^^^^^^^

Go for the Anti Laser Priority and a good radar detector.

Keep your eyes open and you'll be good to go.

I mounted mine to the rear view mirror using Mike's mount and couldn't be happier. There are several threads with pics and info on his mounts if you search. His email is MIKE3348@roadrunner.com if you are interested in buying one.

Agreed. I got mine a month ago and love it. It's even better when paired with the Escort Live app. I really like being able to customize my detector settings with the app. My MAX2 has already paid for itself and then some since it's saved me a half-dozen times since I've gotten it

man I havent even downloaded the app yet. I will do it tonight. This things has some crazy range. I heard its the new king. The Valentine is the old king. From what I have seen the Valentine and Max2 have similar ranges but the Max2 has WAY more in terms of customizabe options.

Ebay offers a sticky tape backed mount for $7. It mounts to the windshield. I have mine attached to the blue strip at the top, to the left of the mirror, forward of the visor. A clear shot to the front and back and easy to hit the mute button. Then Ebay again for a 10" power cord for $9 wired into the console above the mirror.

Really depends on what you want out of the detector.

To me, knowing if the threat is in front or back is the most important thing.
