My brother in law got to drive one for a week when he worked for Nissan and he thought it was too ruff as a daily but he drives an SUV normally. What do you think of the daily driveability ?

He's right. The GT-R is not as refined as the IS-F as a daily driver. The transmission is clunky and noisy under low speed, the ride is harsher but if you're an F owner you are used to it. If this was my daily driver I would have kept the F without question.

The upside to the GT-R is its performance and the attention it gets if that's what you are looking for. You will get both good and bad attention. Everyone with a mod on their car wants to race you even sport bikes. You will get thumbs up and comments from young boys and men. They weren't kidding on the GT-R forum calling it a d*ck magnet. Most girls and older folk don't give it more than a glance. I've come out of a restaurant with teenage boys taking selfies with it.

And when I mean bad attention I mean it is a cop magnet too. My first week I got pulled over for "speeding" even though I already spotted him on the opposite side of the highway when pulling out of the gas station. He flipped around after I was already a 1/2 mile ahead and said he had to go 10 mph over the limit to catch up to me . This is one of the reasons I installed a Blackvue 2 camera system the 2nd day I had the car. I've also had some guy in an RX330 flip me the bird for some unknown reason other than I accelerated to 54 mph in a 55 faster than him?

I don't regret the purchase especially when I get to open the car up and it feels like I shot out of a cannon. I would have certainly been content keeping my F but with the incentives on Godzilla it was hard to pass up. If anyone is on the fence I would recommend test driving a GT-R, set the performance aspect of the car aside and focus on the rest of car to decide if it is right for you.

Off topic, but how do you like the Blackvue camera? Is this your first time with it, or did you previously have this camera in your F?

That's basic physics, cop. If he drove at the same speed as you (the speed limit, I presume), there's no way to catch up to you but rather maintain a constant distance. The moment he goes 1mph over your speed, he will catch up.
Going 10 mph over is super conservative to catch up to you...what a moron

+1.

OP, get some countermeasures for that car. (looks like you had some on the 'F', although I would go with something else than the Blinder M27)

I didn't have one in the F. I bought the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH. Install was simple and the cameras are small making them discreet. You can connect your smartphone to watch captured footage.

The M27 was a gift so I gave it a shot and installed them. They never let me down. I'm looking to go with ALP and Escort Passport Max 2 on the GT-R. My FOP card is my best countermeasure so to speak

hear that the transmission in that car is fragile. There is even a recommended transmission parts upgrade list that will solve about 90% of the problems it has. Just something to research into.
