Default Will GSF drive down prices of ISF?

Recently it went from 1-2 ISFs for sale locally to 13 right around the time the GSF was introduced.

Do you think the prices will plummet with the newer body style higher HP more efficient GSF?

nope ISF is in its own class, like the m5 vs the m3.

Isn't the RCF on the same chassis as the GSF? If the GSF starts at the same price as the former ISF?

The M5 and M3 certainly don't cost the same

I highly doubt that the GSF will be around 60-70k.. I'm assuming at least 75k. The GSF is a huge luxury sports sedan competing with the m5, e63, s6 etc.. A lot of those cars with options hit 100k lol. And the ISF optioned out is like 70k and an optioned out m3 is more close to 80.

Given the RCF price I bet it will be around 70K

No, only thing that will make prices of ISF go down are mileage, age and condition of vehicle.

In a word, no.

The IS-F was, is, and always will be the first true F car Lexus produced.

If you wanted a performance Lexus, and couldn't afford the LF-A (like most of us! Lol), the IS-F was the car to own.

Whilst there will be some owners wanting to move to the latest models, others like me will continue to love, cherish, and enjoy these incredible cars.

Exactly. No new car produced will have the effect of dramatically dropping the value of the ISF more than mileage, age and condition already would. Not even if in a couple of years Lexus decides to make a new ISF, and definitely not because of the new GSF.

I doubt it. Here are some facts per my own situation. Purchased my 08 ISF with 12K in Dec 09' for 42K. An 08 ISF now with 20K same exact car color option my friend purchasd last year for 39K. Also if you look at other similar cars that are for sale doesnt seem like the market affects resale value of this car. The biggest difference is the changes made in later years and thats not even that significant enough to drastically hike or decrease price of previous years.

The RCF will be good for ISF prices while the GSF will be bad. Lexus has made two very hard to sell F cars and prices will reflect this IMO. The GSF is too far behind the competition and so the the prices will drop pretty quickly I think.

So what you're saying is wait until the GSF drops to the 40kish mark. DONE!

I definitely hope so. The GSF looks like a beast

Prices have dropped since the RC-F has been released.

All over Los Angeles you can get a 2012 with around 30k miles for 42. 2010s start at 35k.

I don't think the GSF is behind its competition at all. It is the most performance oriented model in the GS lineup and is a true F model, so naturally people will compare it to the M5 and E63. In reality though, its price is likely to be comparable to the 550i and E550 (now discontinued). It should have similar acceleration numbers to those cars but be superior in reliability, on a track, and in overall driving dynamics.

Now if the GSF costs the same as an E63 or M5, then yes it is behind the competition.

Prices of the ISF will continue to drop like most mass produced cars. It is inevitable.

Also, if Lexus decides to release an ISF on the current platform that will increase the supply of previous gen ISF on the used market pushing prices even further down, especially the newer years. I would think Lexus want a share of the m3/c63 market.
