Default Best option for LSD 08-09 car?

Soooo I feel like this question should have been asked/answered 1000 times but from researching didnt really find any good answers.

Will the 10+ LSD bolt right into a 08-09 car and work right with no other changes to the car?

Are these units any more affordable yet?

Best option to find a OEM one? or any decent aftermarket solutions?

Aftermarket options are out there, Most people like the OS Giken which figs has for $2550 plus shipping.

Im getting a ATS Carbon LSD which should be around $1750-1800 shipped.

IF you can find one, and that is a big if (ive been looking for 2+ years) they should be around $1200-1400 for complete with carrier. $750-900 with out carrier.

The factory LSD's just don't come up anymore, too few cars getting wrecked I suppose. The OSG unit is a very welcome transformation to the car and its supremely silent as well. The number of clutch elements and the tunability make it a standout in the category. Its off-the-shelf performance should be more that enough for most demands at the track or on the hwy.

No, buying the whole enchilada is the smart way to go simply because the price difference is almost negligible. The only reason I would by the spool separately is if I intended to change the final drive ratio.

41110-53292 $3,476.12 - Whole unit
41301-53051 $3,175.30 - spool alone

Not at all worth the hassle of installing for a mere $300.

$3500 isn't too bad. IMO it would come out about the same price going with the giken + labor.

The full pumpkin I could just install in my garage, no labor cost there. The install of the giken seems way more involved, so I wouldnt attempt it myself.

I think the OEM LSD would be an easy resell if you decide to part with the car. Seems like everyone is always looking for them.

Decisions decisions decisions

The problem is that the vast majority of ISFs made were 08s and 09s...
