If you look at the photo you will notice it's design is based on a traditional front splitter, so not only is it a front lip, but extends underneath the front bumper mounting to OEM Points to provide additional downforce in the front, much like now Nascar's front splitter performs.

However, bad news if you need it in a rush, I don't know shop in the US that has it in stock brand new, so buying it used in the classifieds would be your only shot at one. That I'm aware of.

HOWEVER! If you need it in a rush, i think APR Performance does have universal carbon front splitters in a lightweight carbon fiber honey comb, that they can form into a front splitter for your IS F, but you'd have to talk to them about that directly.

OR! You could DIY one. I road race from time to time and a great deal of people make front splitters out of plywood. Sounds kind of random if you've never heard of it, but google it and you'll see some really amazing DIYers with really fast cars with Plywood.

Hope this helps you out! I know how track day preprep can go...

Cheers!

Good advice, thanks!

I'm not in a hurry...so I may sit and wait for a nice used Toms or Cwest to come up.

These are more of a splitter lip hybrid but have been tested to 150 plus MPH.

Hey Turbo- do you know if yours offers any aerodynamic advantage, or is it more cosmetic?

None of the lips in this thread offer downforce. They're all cosmetic. A real splitter has a dead flat bottom side and enough surface area to make it completely ugly and impractical for street use. Using the criteria "it hasn't come off yet" means absolutely zip in terms of generating useful downforce. I've only seen one front lip in the IS-F forum capable of making a difference on a track and it's on a real racecar.
