Default Front lip spoilers

I like the look of them, but my concern is the track...if I were to put the money into buying one I would want to know that at 140 mph it will actually improve aero and not have zero effect or worse, make the car less stable.

Are there any out there that are proven, that you guys trust? Preferable well under the $1,100 price tag I've seen on at least one of them, or is that what it takes to get one like I described?

Most are for more aesthetic than anything. There are a couple decent looking ones for 400+ range. The Cwest you saw on my and Josh car is a bit pricer because it is full carbon and a larger than most

What track do you plan on going 140mph at?? Most aftermarket lips are for looks.

If installed properly, the Tom's lip can withstand the full capability of the car.

Own one for awhile, however don't spread false information. Unless Toms documented any wind tunnel testing, they are all for aesthetic. True areo piece cost thousand of dollars more ands actual documented testing

In my opinion, the TOMS one would be your best bet.

If you look at the photo you will notice it's design is based on a traditional front splitter, so not only is it a front lip, but extends underneath the front bumper mounting to OEM Points to provide additional downforce in the front, much like now Nascar's front splitter performs.

However, bad news if you need it in a rush, I don't know shop in the US that has it in stock brand new, so buying it used in the classifieds would be your only shot at one. That I'm aware of.

HOWEVER! If you need it in a rush, i think APR Performance does have universal carbon front splitters in a lightweight carbon fiber honey comb, that they can form into a front splitter for your IS F, but you'd have to talk to them about that directly.

OR! You could DIY one. I road race from time to time and a great deal of people make front splitters out of plywood. Sounds kind of random if you've never heard of it, but google it and you'll see some really amazing DIYers with really fast cars with Plywood.

Hope this helps you out! I know how track day preprep can go...

Cheers!
