Default Tranny fluid change....

anyone have an online manual or procedures/link on how to replace tranny fluid?
how many liters of tranny fluid?
how to drain properly including tranny cooler?

It's sealed you can't change it. That's why you need to just buy a whole new one.

They are sealed and require a specific "pump" from Toyota to refil the trans. In order to properly refill the transmission you would need a way to monitor the trans fluid as it requires the fluid to be a certain temperature before the level can be accurately checked.

ok thanks for the inputs...i've been reading posts from here that when they actually inspected the tranny and diff fluid,it was as expected and needed a change before reaching 60,000miles....

This is interesting to me and has been with other manufacturers that have so called "lifetime tranny fluid that is sealed" I would assume like any other fluid the tranny fluid gets dirty and would benefit from a change and flush with new fluid if the tranny is expected to last 200-300k miles no?

In all seriousness though, this has been on my mind too lately. Are the guys with 100-200k miles not having issues with their transmissions after all this time of no fluid changes?

No known issues whatsoever, BUT never hurts to be prepared especially when you get one for $900 LOL. At minimum its a conversation piece LOL
