Default Bridgestone SO4's or Michelin PSS ...

Just gathering everyone's feedback before I order a O.E size set on Monday, $200 price difference between each set of 4 tires. I could put the additional $200 towards O.E. pads/rotors in the upcoming weeks/months which will need changing another 5k miles or so. Thanks

Here's the Tire Rack test comparison between the two tires:

For the price, I'm not sure the Michelin PSS can be beat. I'm on my 2nd set of them on my car and I don't foresee ever running a different tire on my ISF.

PSS here all the way too. As tempting as the RE11 is for track days there is not tire on the market right now that can beat the PSS as an all around tire. Its been objectively shown by pretty much every tire review its been in since it was released. Never saw it outside the #1 position. Its an oem tire for Ferrari, Porsche, and many many others.

PSS for me too!! Had S04 before. PSS also 3-4 lbs lighter each tire. That's like switching to super lighter wheel, since all of of it is the outer most rotational weight.

PSS as an all round tire. Can't be beat.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine has the S04's and said he won't be getting them again, which made my mind up about the same question. PSS

I have driven an IS F (stock set up) with both tires. IMHO, the PSS is the one to choose. A lot of guys here upsize their tires, and that does help a bit in getting more tire to the road. The S04 wasn't bad at all, but in terms of overall performance, I'd continually recommend the PSS.

In the end you get what you pay for and the tire is literally the limiting factor to what the entire chassis can do AND its the only thing connecting you to the road. Thats where I would spend the extra money. Its also the only tire for our car in a max Summer category that has a mileage warranty

The PSS is oem tire for car like
1. Ferrari 458 Italia, F12
2. Porsche
3. C7 Z51
4. Koeniggsegg
5. M5, M6, M3
the list goes on and on and on

Not sure if the S04 is an oem tire but the list above says a lot
