Me personally $8-10k more for a car 2-3 years newer I would pass, I paid $12k difference on mine but I felt it was more than a fair deal considering its a 2013 which is just like buying a 2014 excluding the extra cosmetics (F headrests & CF spoiler) & whatever else. In your case you would be spending around $3k a year more just to climb into a 2011 & you would be gaining the newer steering ecu, suspension, LSD & newer dash (the more important things) yes but I would be more apt to go an extra $5-6k tops!
I was in the same dilemna when I bought my car back then. I got a wicked deal when I bought my '09 so I couldn't justify buying the '11+. But sorta wish I got '11+ now haha.
Nice car love the colour combo. Congratulations!

just found this. Looks pretty damn significant in terms of suspension tuning.
Improving upon our long-term IS F's figure-eight number by a full second and 0.07 g (24.8 seconds at 0.79 g compared to the old 25.8 seconds at 0.72 g) took significant tuning on Lexus' part. For model year 2011 and beyond, chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi introduced new nutrients to his baby's formula, namely stiffer front and rear spring/damper calibrations, larger anti-roll bars, thicker bushings, longer bump stops, and revised power steering logarithms. He also gave the IS F a standard-issue Torsen limited slip differential. Since they were deemed up to snuff, the team left the 90-degree eight-cylinder and paddle-activated gearbox untouched.

The 2013 certainly feels more planted to the road while driving it, what a world of difference from one to the other & my 2009 only had 28k miles with O.E. suspension. I will not miss the MPG & smell of gas thats for sure. I was averaging 15.5-16.2 on the 2009 & the 2013 currently reads 21.4 but it was just driven down to me yesterday afternoon from an older guy who does the transporting for Butler Lexus, & was great to deal with over the phone. Dave the internet manager was very professional & thorough thru the process.

Interesting, that you've basically gone back to stock, when I just recently had the intake sleeve, PPE headers and Joe-Z installed.
Not to thread jack, but here's mine in stock form. Should look familiar.

Are you planing on leaving your stock?

I was initially going to leave the 2009 stock but I had no idea it arrived to my place of work with a Borla cat back then I figured what the heck might as well finish her off. Car was stock except for the Borla, now that the 2013 is stock & the ride feels so much more refined than the first Gen F I will appreciate it even more to leave it as is especailly the fact that Lexus built a much smaller production run on 2013/2014's. Just going to add tint to it, F1Pinacle I'm thinking (rear glass, doors darker/front sides lighter).

The car now feels exactly as I want it, responsive, planted and much more fun to drive.
I respect that you want to keep the new one stock, but I feel the mods we have to this car make a very nice ride even better.
