I would be interested to know how it was actually running, as I would consider the purchase.

If we got some decent feedback and actual data I'd agree with you. All it needed was a dyno run to prove how much it actually works, it's a shame that wasn't done.
My opinion it's a waste of time, but enjoy the SC whine to whoever decides to buy it next, maybe you'll have more success

I think it's moreso a commentary on the fact that the Denso ECU hasn't been cracked. Which means the s/c was running with some sort of piggyback, which is less than ideal, especially when your $10,000 motor is on the line

Supercharged cars are way fun to drive, if they actually work. You could do 75 miles on the chassis dyno with a problematic car!
The first non-naturally aspirated, fuel injected car I ever built worked so well I put about 7500 miles on it the first year, and it was not a DD.
This whole Lexus thing is new to me, I still don't get why someone hasn't been able to access the ECU in these F's. There are a bunch of CAN networked vehicles out there that even mediocre tuners have been able to hack.
What gives?

It has been this way since 1994 when I wanted to mod my first Supra. Has not changed since despite the plethora of vendors claiming they were able to make substantive changes. They have all failed.

Despite how much we may want to speak it in to existence, this car cannot be tuned, and therefore forced induction is always going to be a "use at your own risk" proposition. I know a lot of people are willing to take more risks with their cars than I am with my car, but I wouldn't even think of adding a supercharger or turbo system to the car without any ability to tune it. Even though the seller has been decided to move on to another car entirely, the fact that he didn't even have the supercharger on for 100mi is very telling to me.

So basically Toyota doesn't want anyone to access its secret sauce that is used to control these vehicles. I left the modifying scene and got ISF because of its locked down ECU, among other things, the longer it is locked, the longer I'm resistant to the mod-bug.
