LOL. Right on bud, at least you have the correct set up. I still use the controller and shift manually. AZ is lucky to have track days year round, BUT I refuse the run the car May to October . The temps here are too high to really push the car. I went out at end of may and the oil temps were high. This weekend never got over 1-2 bars over half and quickly drops after the car sits for 20 min. I was 41 degrees when got to the track. That cold as ice for AZ.

Oem size Michelin PSS. They hooked up really well even worn out 75%. I tried the 245/285 combo for more grip but the car felt awful . Like I had 4 low tires. The sharpness in the steering response and even the suspension felt very significantly diminished . I literally drove the car 2 miles and made a u turn and went back to have them removed . Sucks because they looked great. On the track its function over form so stock sizes for me. The Michelin PSS is also the only tire for our car that comes with a mileage warranty. They will guarantee the tread for 15k miles. They will not replace until 3/32 on the tread. I have another track day in 2 weeks and I am thinking if running the same tires and then replacing them after .

1Guarantee applies to up to 6 tires per customer. Guarantee applies
only to tires that were purchased and mounted and does not apply
to exchanged tires that were provided under this guarantee. The
guarantee does not include the cost of valve stems. Tires that are damaged
due to misuse or misapplication, road hazards, mechanical problems
related to the vehicle, use on motor tricycles, or use in any racing-related
activities, or competitive events, or tires that are removed from the original
vehicle on which they were installed, are excluded from guarantee. If the
new set of tires costs more than the tires removed, you may be required by
the tire retailer to pay the difference, as Michelin does not cover this cost

I got this from the Michelin warranty page I don't think they will be replacing tires that were used during a track day , but I may be incorrect! Let us know if they replace them without issue if so that may be the best deal around.

I actually stopped by on Friday ( before the track day ) to show them and the manager said they will warranty the tires BUT that Michelin wants them at 3/32. I was at 6/32 apparently.

Good luck with the claim being honored.
