They sure are pretty, brand new in the shipping case like that. And considering a used one is $15-1800 plus a core (from a wrecking yard if you were unfortunate enough to have to buy one in that manner), it is definitely a smoking deal. No core charge, free shipping.
If you needed one, it would be a an easy decision.
If you look at all of his auctions. He stated that he got them from Toyota excess inventory clearing. He must have bought them all in one bulk sale and sorted out what he got. They are all still in crates and bolted/tied down. He already has a few positive feedbacks on brand new Toyota transmissions if you looked up his feedback score.
I did just that. It does appear that he bought a bunch of new OEM Toyota stuff, obviously for pennies on the dollar. Sometimes the deals are out there.
The company you just purchased from is AWTEC. This is Toyota's own reman company in the USA… They received the brand new transmissions direct from Aisin Japan. They are seed transmissions… the company needs something to send out to dealers at the beginning of a rebuild program, as they have not yet received any cores to rebuild.
All three cars have a different part number for the transmission…. Interestingly, the overhaul kit is the same for all. Actually, I'm sure they share most parts… just need to find the differences.
