Question PPE Header/Exhaust Gasket Change (Pics)

When I installed my exhaust last week I saw that my header/exhaust gaskets were looking pretty bad.

Would you guys recommend I replace them with a new set of gaskets?

When in doubt - Replace. It's much easier to replace them on installation than after.

Why do you say that? Is it because they have to be aligned perfectly?

Yes I would definitely replace them. I would call Paul at PPE and ask what to get.

^^^^The standard OEM ISF rear exhaust manifold gasket is smaller than the one sold by PPE for their headers.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, and I'm sure people have already answered this but I'm installing new header to exhaust crush gaskets tomorrow (bough from PPE's site).

I've also got JoeZ exhaust, so do I double up on the PPE gaskets? so use 4 in total? or just use one on each side?

^^^^Just use the ones you got from PPE. They'll be fine.

Yes but do I use 2 gaskets on each tube or just 1 on each side?

^^^^Just the ones you got from PPE. The gaskets JoeZ supplies are not properly sized for PPE Headers. They are properly sized for the stock exhaust manifolds.

So you bought a total of 4 crush gaskets from PPE? I just got two and had my ppe headers installed 2 weeks ago no leaks or CEL's I think you'll be fine using 2, 1 on each side. So far I have driven over 500 miles no problems.
