Default Considering a high mileage F...

A 2011 with 68,000 miles...anything to look out for? I'm hoping these are as bullet-proof as most Lexus are.

The engine usually blows up at 70,000 miles.

Its ok though because the engine has self healing parts like the paint, So at 70,000.01 miles it will be good to go

I would buy with confidence. These cars are as solid as any other Lexus.

Wow, that seems like a good deal...too bad it's non-transferrable.

I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. It would still be best to have an independent mechanic you trust to look over some areas, such as rotors and pads, tires, paint cracking/chipping, aftermarket parts installed (aesthetics or electrical), and the such. Being a 2011, it shouldn't have a water pump issue as with the older models, but do check for leaking just in case.

Other than that, there isn't much that goes wrong with this high performance sedan. It's very good from the factory and it lives up to the reliability notion quite well for being more sport oriented than luxurious.

Non-transferable can mean Carmax is just waiting on the title or that someone has put deposit down. Worth calling them in the morning and see what the deal is. I called on the other 2 USB ones they had but they sold as soon as they were listed. I'm tempted by this 2012 but I trade cars in too often and the high miles pretty much rule it out.

Do you think $38k is a good deal given there are no problems with it?

Depends. As long as it is clean and has a good service history then yeah.
Take a look at autotrader, cars.com, and ebay and get an idea what they go for and compare!
