GSF is Finally Here - ISF Coming?

i think it'll be quick enough for what it is, it's only 75lbs heavier than an RC-F and it's 300lbs lighter than an M5.
performance numbers should be comparable to an RC-F.

I like the idea of a roomier, four door performance sedan over the RCF, but still, I don't feel compelled to sell my ISF for either one of the new F cars. Build a true F version on the 3IS platform and I'm interested. I'd love something with roughly the looks and weight of the current IS350, but with rcf/gsf power.

No idea what Lexus was thinking with this GS-F. I got to sit in a friend's RC-F when we were at Cars & Coffee on Saturday and it was really nice but I need a back seat and RC-F won't work with my child seat. I was so excited to see GS-F coming until now. Sure it looks ok but not bringing at least 550hp to the table makes zero sense. They basically have a car that will seat 4 adults like our IS-F, perform just like our IS-F but will cost probably $80k. I know Lexus doesn't seem to care about getting caught up in the horsepower wars but we are living in a time when every other manufacturer is pushing the limits on their cars. 640hp CTS-V that comes out this year is really looking tempting now.

What a giant letdown. The GSF is a joke. Lexus has absolutely dropped the ball. The exterior is unexciting, the interior is ugly, and the engine is a joke. Compete with the m5, amg, or the cts-v, really? What a f-ing joke.

IMO looks like a dressed up GS, with an F engine. - Coming from a GS350 F-Sport & IS350 owner too . Seriously Lexus needs to step up the power game. The cars comfortable, reliable no doubt, but just not fast enough and missing the fun factor. No wonder so many IS owners end up going with a GTR

engine is a joke? if you don't own an F you frankly have no ****ing clue what you're talking about.
my motor is the best part of my car. plenty of power and makes an epic noise, not some nonsense piped in through the speakers. all the cars you listed are 3-500lbs heavier, unreliable, and likely have ****ty build quality (in the case of the CTS-V).
i wouldn't write this car off just yet. in a year or two once prices settle it'll be a great value.

My ISF is great. The mods that we are limited to makes it even better. But if you've never owned a M car then you have no idea what real modding potential means. The v8 in the RCF was a let down as to numbers. But the same engine in the GSF and Lexus really thinks its gonna compete. HaHa.

IMO, whatever that's worth, choosing to use the same powertrain as the RC F was a bad move by Lexus I too was one of the ones hoping they would build/target this car as a competitor for cars like the M5 and we'd see HP/specs in the 500 range. This news is disappointing to say the least andit sounds like an opportunity for other Japanese contenders like Infiniti's Q70 (specifically the 5.6L AWD version) and/or the Q50 Eau Rouge (which is apparently rumoured to be shelved - shame) to take the stage and shine. For those already loyal to the German competition this car (despite hopes) certainly doesn't sound like anything to write home about let alone get them to consider switching. Cars like these, and ours, are already faced with the odds of a niche market and IMO a move like this doesn't exactly offer any REAL incentive to buy. Again, just my .02 and I will HAPPILY keep my F Thank you Lexus for at least making that decision even easier; not to mention making our cars even more invaluable - particularly in the eyes of current owners

its basically a 4 door RCF. Kind of a let down on the power. Thats about 100 hp less than the competition. Here we go again , Lexus . If you step to the competition knock the guy out, dont get in line behind him.
