I'm removed the mufflers and drove the car and both my wife and I love the how it sounds. But as you can see the last exhaust hanger before the Y before the mufflers. Your existing piping will flop and hit the underside of the vehicle. I just want to cut the pipe just past the hanger (where the red arrow is pointing in original post) that way it will be the largest diameter possible and supporting the rest of the exhaust going towards the engine.(muffler delete, cut the piping at the hanger)

Are you going to delete your secondary cats as well?

I went to mufler shop to get my exhaust modified and they say that cannot remove the secondary cats for me. They said that they will charge me 100 bucks for cutting my mufflers and welding a straight pipe.

I am thinking that for that money I can buy a harbor freight flux welded and do it myself; removing the cats and mufflers. What piping are you going to buy? Stainless or mild steel? What size?

Thanks

I want to essentially have what you see in the picture (just imagine a vband right after the flange (on the muffler side) cut the factory muffler section and have a vband flange installed with a turn down. I was considering having a vband flange installed right where red arrow is pointing in the original post. Vband the muffler section and have a spare vbanded 45• turndown. That way I can run an optional turn down piping muffler-delete, or run stock mufflers. Like a plug n play muffler delete, that utilizes the factory exhaust hanger.

I do not care to know the size of the stock muffler tips lol
If you need welding work done, or U Bends, or other fab parts, we are in Tempe.

Does anyone have a part number for a flange, that would replace the axleback?

I did my dual exhaust last week. It sounds deep and loud. Just a little raspy at times when i step on it hard....lol. if you want to check out how it sounds. Check my instagram @_lexus_isf

I did it dual. The cut started from 2nd cats, two pipes of 2.5 diameter all the way back. And i didnt fo any Hpipe or Xpipe, is all double single piped. No resonator and No mufflers. I just added the tips to make it look more like a real exhaust. And i know it may look about an inch too much sticking out, but i will fix that...lol. and with this set up i dont get drone inside. I can have a great conversation inside the car with them closed.

Well I jumped the gun and ordered 2.5" inlet dual tips and then decided to actually check the piping diameter after the Y split and it's like 2.125" or some garbage like that lol. Guess I order some 2.5" pipe, slip over and weld the gap? Figures.
