Default Cheap front lip

I know about all the expensive lips 1000+ dollars and I know about the cheap 2 piece slitters on ebay of 150. But do we have a 400-600 dollar lip that I won't cry if I hit something with? I damaged my forth downforce one the other day and I'm sick of buying 1000 dollar front lips. Can't believe no one on ebay hasn't made a Toms replica or something.

I had a Lexon replica purchased from NextMod or something like that (primarily an eBay vendor). I believe I paid $300-$400 shipped for it and then had it vinyl wrapped matte black for another $75. It looked pretty good I thought, but only lasted 6 months before it was destroyed. I decided then that no matter how good the lip might look, those things are nearly impossible to keep pristine. So I've been "lip-less" ever since. Now that I look back at this pic, I do miss the look though.

I want a lip as well but like the OP said there are not really good lips available on ebay. IMO the three piece lip looks like crap.

Maybe we can get a group buy going from a vendor in China/ Taiwan or something?

I know they are crazy hard to keep. Looking back thinking I've spent 4 grand on lips is enough to make me sick

While I love the look of the carbon fiber lips available for the IS F, it only takes one minor run in with the ground or debris or even nature to wreck that lip and the CF finish. And the CF weave will never be the same. Some have had damage to their rear diffusers and were forced to paint over it because the CF weave was compromised.

My lone solution, while it might not fit everyone's tastes was the spray my lip with bedliner spray. I'm a pretty careful driver, and am cognizant of the road conditions, but there will come a time when something low (but not low enough) comes in contact with the lip. I've had mine on for a good five years now, and it's as sturdy as when it was installed.

I was thinking about mounting this on my F

I've been lowered on coils with a Tom's lip for a year now and no problem.
Sideways on declines, keep my eyes vigilant of the road ahead...that's about it.
The pic is of the car on my driveway, which isn't so forgiving. Regardless, the car is still relatively low on flat ground.
I have the lip Velcro-taped, which is much needed for my driveway, although it is not the panacea for cracks

Also, I apologize for not getting back to you about the manifold a few months back.
Staying off of modding for a while.

I've been contemplating the same thing actually. A diff, suspension components, and lastly n2o.
Good luck on your mission

I agree! Love the toms kit and don't want to pay premium for it. The lip and splitters nigel are selling from aeroworkz are relatively cheap..

good god, was that driveway steep? It looks like it's eating cement on flat gounds. I hope you were super slammed in that pic. Or else I'd hold off on buying a toms CF lip
