Navigaton Map Update 2014 (U39-14.1)
I've been on the fence for a while now as to whether or not to purchase the updated DVD for my car. Read the few threads on the topic and the biggest reason I can come up with not to is whether or not it will actually include any changes I'd be interested in. It looks like Lexus tried to somewhat answer that question with the link below. If you put in your zip code and/or generation of your Nav system ('08-'09 ISF is GEN5) you can see potential road additions as well as POI's. Pretty cool and whether or not it's 100% accurate or not it's nice they at least made the attempt. I did find when putting in my zip I entered 2 other nearby zip codes and the results varied so it seems to be VERY specific to the area provided and not the surrounding area (no idea what the radius is). Anyway, add to it that it looks like Lexus (and Sewell) are offering a temporary discount on the DVD's until Dec. 31st I assume in an attempt to help purge any remaining stock - it's down to $99 and just slightly cheaper with our CL discount. I realize this may not be for everyone but I just figured I'd put it out there

They are having difficulty selling these updates especially with all the new smartphones having better data, better maps, better algorithms, and instant updates for nothing.
I know I will never waste the time to put another update in mine. I have a work phone on Droid and a personal phone on Windowsphone. Both are vastly superior to what I get with Gen V navigation.

If they were having difficulty selling them before, this won't push them off the shelves anytime soon.

Would be a buyer for this at a price point of around $15-20
