Default Joe Z intake question

Hey guys, quick question about the Joe Z intake. These two hoses that connect to the Joe Z intake are on there pretty loose, and slide off pretty easily. The OEM intake has little ridges around the top of the pipe to stop the hoses from backing themselves off, but the Joe Z doesn't.

Is this going to cause any issues? I attempted to slide those little metal fasteners to different levels on the hose to see if they can hold on to the intake better, but it didn't make a difference. Does that need a perfect seal to avoid any CEL or drops in performance or anything like that? Thanks guys!

That was my fix when I was running the Takeda.

The HPS couplings are really nice. The fit was nice and snug. No jubilee clips needed.

Glad you got it sorted chap.

Same here. The hoses fit nice and snug on the HPS.

When NEW.. The OEM hose & clips are tight as hell...

As they wear with time we noticed that as a customer attempts to install, the hose has lost its ability to remain snug with the OEM clip..

Solution A: Needle nose pliers to the clips and bend more spring into the spring

Solution B: Mini Hose Clamps (as you did)

Happy Holidays

So, I installed my blue JoeZ intake last night and took off what seems to be a pretty close replica of that intake. Full disclosure, I never really paid attention to the intake before last night and realized that this is certainly not OEM for a '12. Anyone recognize this intake tube, there are no manufacture markings on it whatsoever.

Not sure.

I can tell you it isn't Takeda, Injen, or HPS.

May be a polished Joe Z? Has the same welds on the two pipes by the looks of it??

If it is two of the same intake, you can sell the polished one and use it towards other mods Sell it for the same price as a used Joe Z intake, someone will ****** that up!
