I'm in a very isolated town right now and I need to get home which is about 400 miles away and I got a nail in my tire 2 days ago and put on a spare. There's no local tire shop that has my size available and I was wondering, how bad is it to drive slow on the spare tire for about 400 miles and 6-7 hours???? please respond fast, Its kind of an emergency situation.

I think the max distance is below 100 miles for sure. Especially if your spare is a small/skinny tire...I don't think 400 miles is safe to do...good luck my friend!

Bummer. Onlinetires.com can overnight you a tire. It'll be expensive, but safe. I just checked and to overnight me one tire it would be $93. shipping. They have every F-ing tire you can imagine.

If you have a bigger city within 70-100 miles I would drive there to fix/replace a tire, any further then that is asking for trouble.
