Default Stock or after market intake?

I've read a bunch of stuff about intakes on this website, but none seem to recent.. Anyone have any ideas which intake best suits the ISF? gain wise.. don't really care about the sound because my exhaust overwhelms my car anyways.

dynos would be appreciated.

Don't waste your $$ like I and others have. Stock is best unless your looking for sound.

I was the first person on this site to buy and install the Takeda Intake for the ISF. It's been on close to five years now, when they were first released.

I was intrigued with the design, because it is the only third part intake (other than the JoeZ) that retains the stock secondary valve and is (almost) fully enclosed. I still am very happy with the intake. When I bought mine, they only came with the silver coating (they are now available in silver or black). I have had mine ceramic coated black, and I still think it's the best aftermarket intake out there.

I'd tend to agree with this. If mine hadn't been basically included with the purchase of my exhaust I would've opted out but free is free That said, I installed mine with a high-flow filter before installing my exhaust, just to see if there'd be a noticeable difference, and there wasn't - at least not for the cost anyway. The stock air box is pretty damn efficient and seeing as you already have an exhaust you'd only be adding one for the sake of saying you did an being one step close to being able to check the boxes for having an I/H/E combo Just my .02

You asked for dyno results...I can't take credit for these (admittedly not my own) but they should at least help somewhat with your decision:
comparisons show stock vs with Joe Z Exhaust vs with Joe Z Exhaust & Intake. Guess it's hard to argue with the numbers

Curious why you say 'wasted' when clearly they work? (Sealed units with OEM boxes) Even from the design perspective you can see how it smooths the airflow out.

Because they don't live up to the claimed HP gains.

Every dyno Ive seen with a JoeZ or HPS show gains.. what in your mind isnt living up to the claimed gains?

K&N or other open filter intakes you have a point.. but not with the other sealed intakes.

Same here, but in Blue.

I like the extra noise though.
