I may soon be in the market to lease a vehicle through my company and I want to know what some of my fellow ISF enthusiasts would choose to see if I'm overlooking/missing some options.

Currently I do not have a company vehicle. I split my driving between my ISF and a 2006 Nissan Titan, about 60/40. Basically I drive the ISF when the weather is dry, but I drive the truck on bad weather days, when I'm running errands, and occasionally when I have a trip out of town and want to keep the miles down on the ISF.

I don't need or want 3 vehicles, so I'm looking at selling the Titan if/when I get the company car. I am not restricted to any manufacturer, and can basically choose anything with the following conditions:
-Has to be under $40K
-Has to be a new car (it'll be a lease)
-Has to be able to seat 5 people
-Has to get more than 15mpg
-The vehicle would be used mostly for company road travel and driving to & from the office, but I'd be allowed to use it for personal reasons too (though I'll probably just drive my ISF on my personal time unless the weather is bad).

That's about it on the requirements list. I enjoy having a pickup, so I'm looking hard at maybe a Tacoma with the double-cab. I like the Tundra, but the gas mileage is awful (as it is on my Titan), plus optioned the way I'd want it, they're pretty expensive actually. I'm leaning towards a pickup or an SUV, simply because I don't want 2 sedans, and It'd be nice to have something with a lot of utility/cargo space.

What other vehicles would you guys consider?

In the same boat here... Was considering a 4runner or Highlander, both 4x4, but brand new they are over $40k for sure. So was looking at slightly used ones....

We're looking at daily as well. The NXt has been on my radar for some time, and we are more than likely going with that. It has adequate cargo space and having sat in the back seat, knowing how much leg room I require, it's very spacious for a larger guy like myself. I believe NXt has an MSRP of $36k, but not sure how much lower it'll go considering it's a brand new model.

How about Acura ZDX ? Just around $30k you will got a 2011with tech package in low milage. I'm thinking this too.

NXt base package with navi for 39k? (just saw one today)
Mazda SUV? good on gas, I think CX5 still offers manual if you want that instead of auto

Hmm, I'll have to look at the nxt in person. Not a huge ran of smaller "cutesy" SUVs but I'll check it out.

I would go for the NX as well.

I recently picked up a GMC Acadia Denali and we love it, our last two vehicles were BMW X5s so I am surprised I could even get the wife to test drive the GMC. It is roomy and comfortable the Denali has every option GM offers so it's not bad. I gave the wife the option on what ever she wanted Lexus, Toyota, Acura, infiniti and we settled on the Acadia if you don't have kids I doubt I would get one though. The big sell was the 7 full size seats and the second row is captains chairs. I have been looking at Tacoma quad cab for my second vehicle, they seem good I also had several Titans and I agree the fuel economy was painful.

Get an Evo X.
You can beat the hell out of it.
Relatively cheap, very reliable.
4 wheel-drive machine.
You won't be bored driving it :-)))

There is a 0% chance I'd get something like an Evo or STi.

I do like the 4Runner though.

Our '14 Limited 4Runner was $44k I think we paid $40,500. Most people that consider a slightly used 4Runner end up buying a new one because the savings isn't worth the mileage.

Part of me wants to remain Toyota loyal just because I trust the brand (my wife has a Highlander). I do like the 4Runner. For that $40K price, the 4Runner could be had with leather, a moonroof and navigation... things that would certainly make the daily commuting better... and it would cost significantly more than $40K to get all of that in a Tundra, plus the gas mileage is much worse. The Tacoma can be had loaded for under $40K, but I'll definitely have to compare the back seat room in the double cab to that of the 4Runner. Having a pickup is certainly more versatile though. Both have 4x4 for bad weather.

I can remember when $40K would get you almost anything you wanted short of an expensive luxury car. Now you can barely get a stripped full sized truck for that.
