Just got mine done today and while the service manager was checking his computer he also mentioned the recall about the fuel lines or something like that. He said Lexus will be sending out letters to owners beginning of next year to get that fixed.

Got my car back yesterday for the 50k service and recall for cooling fans. They took the fans apart and replaced all the bolts. I got an ES350 loaner which I'm not a fan of but it was a nice cushy ride for a day.

Funny that everyone gets ct loaners, is loaners, or rx. They always give me a GS F sport . I'm going in soon for oil so I will have this done but so far its only the fan recall. Will they do the fuel recall now or do we have to wait until 2015 ?

Is this normal? I cant imagine the car travel more than a mile inside that dealership I went in with 25.8 avg mpg and it comes out with 13.2, very annoying and service guys really like to ask if you want to trade up to RCF...replied 2 doors wont work...and then they went and say the GSF is coming out to match the M5 and blah blah
You need to raise hell !! They took your car out and beat the **** out of it. I know from track driving how that fuel mileage goes from normal to that low. They definitely took a joy ride and will say yet needed to test drive the car. Call a manager

Does anyone know the procedure to fixing the cooling fan? I am curious if the front bumper needs to be removed for the fix.

Just got my car back from the dealership tonight. I was curious about the procedure as well, and my service advisor told me the front bumper does not get removed.

I took my 2008 IS F in yesterday for an alignment and oil change. They told me there were 2 service campaigns, Fan and Fuel line. No fix for the fuel line yet. While they were doing the fan fix they noticed my water pump leaking and they said that it would be covered under the power-train warranty. My car has 56k miles. I got a 2013 IS 350 as a loaner. I too can say I wasn't that impressed.

Cool Cooling Fan Recall

Has anyone heard of a secondary cooling fan going bad? Car has been at the dealership for past week. They reported they needed to send all parts to Lexus first and then they would ship out new parts. They said it could be 2 weeks or more. Tired of this ES300H loaner!

Default Received Notices for 3 Recalls

Yes I have received the recall for the cooling fan retainer bolts, the fuel pressure regulator gasket & the wiper arm retainer nuts - my car has only 1000 miles on it - have not taken in for any recalls yet

Similar issue with mine since the screws backing out actually did damage my fans.

I was just told today that the fans are on "manual release" and back ordered. To add to that, the DSPM who controls the release is out of the office till the 5th. I promptly expressed how displeased I was with the SA shortly after hearing this.

The RX loaner they gave me is certainly nice, but I want my beast back!
