Can you lock the IS-F from the outside while its still running? Occasionally I will let the car warmup or idle while I step away from it, and try to lock it with the remote but no luck. Any way to do this?

Funny This came up. This morning I have the car warming up and tried to unlock the passenger door with no luck. I had to walk around and unlock the door from the inside.

I'd be interested in an answer to this also. There are times during the summer when I have to run in and grab my kid from daycare and would rather leave the AC running so my kid isn't dying from the heat.

So it doesn't lock you out? I'm afraid so i leave windows semi cracked to prevent lockout. What happens if you leave car running and you hear the beeping noise cuz you ran into daycare etc to pickup kids....does it automatically shutoff? and how long before shutoff?

No, it does not shutoff automatically. Someone can take the car and drive it until they shut it off, then it's not going anywhere without a flatbed.
