Default Anyone know anything about this F...

Fellow CL Members, just curious if anyone happens to know anything about this F...seems like a pretty good deal as long as there are no major issues with the car,

Thanks in advance

I wish I still had carfax access...but that thing was probably mangled in an accident or its salvage title for that price. Something about the bumper gap on the passenger side where it meets the fender doesn't sit right with me. It looks like its not lining up, which would probably mean its been wrecked before. The airbag cover on the steering wheel also has a bigger gap on one side, which could mean it was deployed before and replaced. Also, the weather stripping doesn't line up on the front bumper, which again could mean that the bumper was removed for some reason before. I could be wrong, but I don't remember a time I saw a dealer list one for so much under retail value for no reason. Also, even if it was wrecked it doesn't necessarily mean it will appear on a carfax if there wasn't a police report filed at the time of the accident.

smells fishy. Very tempting at that price but like they say, if it seems too go to be true......its because it probably is. The history on it seems very odd . Like the car has been passed around. If you were serious about pursuing this car you HAVE to take to a dealership and let them tear it apart looking for ish

Thanks Lou for the carfax info. and thanks fellas for the advice, seems like too many question marks on the car.... and the accident no matter how serious it was makes want to keep looking. Appreciate the help everyone.

Wink I'd check out the car

The accident was way back in 08. Someone kept and drove the car for quite awhile without issues.

The miles are good. The color combination is good. I'd believe that the air bag did not go off and if in doubt have it surveyed. In fact I'd pay someone to survey the entire car.

Accidents are really no big deal if the parts are replaced. Remember the only place parts are available is from Lexus. Check it out with Lexus.

If this car is going to be a driver on the those roads in the Northeast US, you have more issues than a little front end damage.

25 grand for one of these seven year old hot rods is a pretty good deal.

Before you say "no" do some home work. I have two LS 430's and both have been rear ended. All parts were replaced with OEM parts, can't tell a thing. I'd say this F is probably a good driver.

I wouldn't touch that F with a 100ft pole. Carfax doesn't show everything but this Carfax shows enough to deter me if i was a prospective buyer. There are plenty of deals out there to be had, just need to be patient. No need to rush into it
