SaintLexus- if you're planning to get 20 x 9.5 +38 in the rears, it will give you about 11 mm more inner clearance, but as a result, the outer position is extended about 24 mm or 0.9 in. Because it does stick out, and you prefer not to touch the suspension, I would say at the very least roll the fenders and go with a 265 or 275 tire. 285 might cause the tire to rub with the fender lining, even though it's at stock height.

Ok your F still is in stock suspension? If so 255/30/20 for front and 275/30/20 for rear will work perfectly with the new set of wheels no fender mod needed.
If you really want 295 tires for the rear i think you should get wider wheel like 20x11+55 with 295/25/20 tires will work for the F stock suspension.

Here is what I have currently, rear is flush with body and front is very close to flush. Its a square setup but appears somewhat staggered:

Front: 20x9 +32 offset, Tire: 245/30/20 Slight rubbing inner lining on road dips
Rear 20x9 +32 offset, Tire: 255/30/20 NO rubbing

I dont have updating pics of the current setup above but below is what we tried to do at first before we changed it. Rear was sticking out and rear tires were stretched, neither style im fond of so i had them change it.

We tried another offset (i think it was +45) in the rear of 20x10 and it hit the rear calipers. We tried spacers but the lugs barely grabbed and rims stuck out a lot. Square setup was the only way to get it to look how it should without hitting the calipers and without any spacers.

Front: 20x9 +32 offset, Tire: 245/30/20 Slight rubbing inner lining on road dips
Rear 20x10 +25 offset, Tire: 255/30/20 stretched, sticking out, and of course rubbing

Are you running on stock height/suspension? Please confirm.

I'm surprised to hear having an offset of +45 that the rear calipers are touching the wheels. Can someone clarify?

Im not on stock suspension or stock height. Car is lowered on Tien coilovers with dampening control (EDFC). As for the offset, the +25 as you see in the pictures were sticking out. The +45 hit the caliper and needed spacers, but ended up sticking out anyways. We messed with it so much to get it to work but were limited on only those 2 offsets that they make that wheel in with the 20x10 size.

Im pretty sure thats how it went, but im going to get the center caps swapped out to silver ones tomorrow or Monday and i can double check with them what the offsets were.

Now I have another question after looking at speeddem0n's setup... (which by the way the 20's really fill in the gaps and look great!!!)

You mentioned +32 is what you currently have yet +45 would hit the caliper so what about the TE37 Ultra's (20") in a different offset? They have multiple offsets so would +37 be ideal/ optimal to avoid rubbing and more importantly fender modification?

Yes it would probably be idea. We were just limited to those 2 offsets on that particular wheel in 20x10. Heres how it looks now, pic taken yesterday...







Bad angle but still looks staggered just from the way the back wheels sits further out than the front.

Forgive my ignorance on this but wondering if the following offsets would work on a stock F without rubbing, etc? Rear offsets are 50mm (20x10) and the fronts are 34mm (20x9). I currently have 20x9 and 2x10.5 with 245/30/20 and 285/25/20 which are nicely flush but believe offsets are both 34mm.

Any help much appreciated!

I believe having an offset of 50 in the rears would be more suited for an even more meatier tires... I think someone's running +53 on 20 inch wheels with 305/30/20 tires.

Thanks, I know I'm not able to go wider without rubbing and I don't want to shave or roll fenders. Am I trading a bigger offset for width to accommodate this? Current is 10.5 and new ones are 10.0.

Hello from Finland! Just registered and I thought to ask in this old thread about Japan Racing wheels.

Does someone have or know how Japan racing wheels fit to ISF? I have 2008 ISF and have drooled JR25 wheels to my car. The ET max with JR-wheels are 40 but how do they fit with brembo brakes? car is stock height and already asked fender rolling place if needed in rear.​​​​

Great forum you have and it has been very helpful already. But in this Japan racing problem I dont find answer.

For the safe side, you can go with 19x8.5 et 40 for the front and 19x9.5 et 40 for the rear. You can also have 2 tire size combo 245/35 and 275/30 or 255/35 and 285/30.
For the caliper clearance you need a visual test fit.
