Default Carbon cooling panel

Hey so I've got a ton of carbon and fiberglass left over from last time I was making "block off plates" for mk3 supra's, so I'm thinkin on making a mold out of the one from my car. I will let you guys know how it goes along an what materials I can get for you if interested (compositeenvisions.com for listings of different material)

Hey. Sounds interesting dude.

Keep us posted on how you get on. I could be in the market for one if you do make them, and the price is reasonable.

Would get you to ship it to one of my buddies in the US, for when I am next over on business.

Good luck!!

Thank you, I'm going to start a mold and likely if it is mass produced I will send it off to a source of a friend with equipment/knowledge this kind of work, I was able to produce them and make a little profit from the supra piece. The supra one turned out well and recovering my dash was ok being my first project ever in this line of work.

Sounds really good mate.

Any pictures of your MK3 Supra parts?

I used to rebuild the top end of those all the time! Lol.

Had a nasty habit of needing head gasket replacement on a regular basis!

Keep us posted for sure though.

It is where the core support meets the bumper/grill also has a cutout for the hood latch.

So I have come to the y in the road of either handing this off to company that has produced well made products (I'm happy with the quality) and then people can source from them or I can have stuff made with the same quality if not better and the prices will be better for the community? Any input is appreciated, I love taking on new projects and ideas but I really need some input from you guys.

This is on the 2nd gen forum here, I don't want to mismatch carbon on my car, I personally would use silver texalium to match the interior pieces.

Might rule me out then mate!

As per this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...vers-back.html

I'm going for real carbon as opposed to the silver stuff.

Well that is still doable, the company compositeenvisions.com I listed has a list of materials and cost. I order through this company and have had good results from their products.

Yea it's real interesting stuff to work with, my cousin is going to be assisting in the project he used to be a fiberglasser at bayliner back in the day. He helped with the supra radiator block off plate (not technically a cooling panel on a mk3 unless you put a under tray on it too

Looking at the size difference of the supra part and isf part I can likely have it done and have a slight profit for $180-$200. Main thing is the fact I need a part to make a mold off and don't want to use the one on my car so I'll be lookin for another or go through a dealer for a new part an use mine in the mean time.
