This is how I installed my borla. Leave all the fasteners loose. Then go from back to front and make sure everything is pushed in. Then tighten from back to front.

+1. You really need to just trade the car in man, it's a mess. I'm sorry you've had so many issues with it.

I have the "pop" sound too when in "F" mode

1. Borla Axle back (yes pop)
2. Borla Cat-back (yes pop)
and now 3. JoeZ/PPE Headers (yes pop)

what hes explaing sounds mechanical... not back fire related.

can you feel the sound? could it be your transmission?

I'm thinking the same thing. The "pop" usually happens when you let off the throttle, not when you give it some gas as Mike is describing.

just to add to this point, its not even when I "give it gas" rather when I just touch my foot to the gas pedal. So its never when I am accelerating, or coasting, or breaking. Only at that specific moment just before I gas it, just as my foot makes contact with the gas pedal.

What would be the next step? I am located in Chicago, does anyone know of a shop in my area that would know how to tackle this very specific problem for this rare vehicle, with now custom exhaust installed??

My guess is it's a transmission/diff related sound.

the way you described it, it sounds exactly like the pop everyone is telling you about....I have muffler/cat delete and I when barely touch the gas I can hear and feel it a little but its not mechanical, its the small back fire....I do it just to hear it pop......
