To those waiting for a Tune
Novel posted earlier today that their LHD tune is complete! 20 hp and 29 tq gain. It appears to be a stock IS-F so hopefully those gains will be magnified somewhat on those with headers/exhaust.

NOVEL 「ECUTUNE」 LEXUS IS-F LHD Model Completed!
We realized power, torque up and high response for LEXUS IS-F by remapping Fuel , Ignition and Valve timing maps, etc.
We tested again and again on so many situations and conditions, e.g. street road, mountain road, highway, of course circuit, and dyno.
Judging from our result tested by Dyno-Jet, which allows exact measurement of power, our IS-F LHD Model increased at most 20 horse power, 4 kgf-m Torque by correspond to Octane 91.
NOVEL ECU can promise you Torque up and Improvement of Response by decreasing Engine restrictions at high RPM range, which will allow you to experience wide range High Feelings and Power.
Thanks!

I have no idea on pricing, or the process of purchasing and actually getting the flash. I know its light on details, but I just wanted to share this since coming from Novel themselves, I'm confident this is legit and will possibly lead to some of the first IS-Fs in NA running more than the stock tune.
I assume it is simply a more aggressive tune. No options specific to any particular mods and no swapping between maps.

Are you sure its Syvecs? It would be great if they came out with products like they have the gtr and porsche platforms.

I apologize if it was already mentioned and I missed it, but did Novel say this is a plug and play where the ECU will learn bolt-on mods or each car will required a custom tune by having the tuner come by and hook your ISF on a dyno? I'm thinking its the latter

GT86 Update time! We've been working hard on the GT86 build recently and will have a lot more images to share soon. The heart of this car's transformation into a world class racer is the Toyota 2URGSE 5.0 litre V8 engine. This is standard equipment in the range topping Lexus IS-F and uses some start of the art engine technology. As it turns out, a little *too* state of the art as there are currently almost no engine management systems that can control both port and direct injectors simultaneously.
We've teamed up with engine management specialist Syvecs Ltd who are developing their ECU range to incorporate the advanced features that this project requires. Here's a photo of one of our engines being calibrated using prototype Syvecs hardware.

You guys know for 20hp and 29wt the cost to HP ratio is not going to be worth it.
I mean for 20hp just go get an exhaust set up. I doubt you will feel much of a difference.
Tunning a NA motor just isnt really worth the cost unless its a simple plug and play set up.

I think if any of these tuning options are going to cost a small fortune might as well make a rear mount twin turbo kit, mid mount turbo kit or centrifugal supercharger kit. The rear and mid turbo kits will be easier to fabricate than the supercharger setup.
