For anyone in the MD/DC/VA area who might be interested, some friends of mine are doing a track day rental at Maryland International Raceway (MIR - a.k.a Budds Creek) next Friday 10/23/14. Gates open @ 9:30 AM, $100 gets you in and you can make as many passes as you'd like for the day. If more than 16 people show up they'll let us run both lanes which would make it a little more fun/interesting If you're seriously interested PM me so I can get your name and let the organizer know so he can add you to the list. Otherwise feel free to use this thread for any questions.

Fine to post here. You will probably get more response. The regional forums are dead. Most members here don't seem interested in track time though. They all do mods but nobody wants to learn how to drive lol

lol - thanks guys. Appreciate the reassurance and information. Like VtotheJ said, to each their own. Just wanted to spread the word for any fellow F owners who might be interested in getting a few passes in for a day as well as putting some faces to names on here. Also I realize it's short notice for those that need time to take off since it is on a Friday. I was hoping to have my exhaust here and installed in time for the rental but doesn't look like it's gonna happen; may have it in my posession but likely won't be installed.

Track day's are for HPDE's....road courses like that. I would say Drag Strip day instead of track day.

drag strip get can boring pretty quick. 4-5 passes and its pretty much done. Plus I can get that feeling at every light. A road course is more special in my eyes. That feeling of sustained flat out driving mixed with hitting those apexes and powering out of those turns is intoxicating.
