Live and work in Kyoto Japan ^_^

Yeah the service and customer support is very high in Japan, but the prices of Luxury automobiles is MUCH cheaper in the USA.

Here in Japan a brand new 3-series BMW 320i (not even the M-sport), starts at about 50,000 US before any options or packages etc

Same with Lexus in Japan. A new ISF (before they stopped making them), straight from the dealer, before any options, started at 85,000 US (after tax)

You don't even want to know how much a M3 or C63 will cost you in Japan...easily over 110,000 US

That and our car tax / registration which has to be paid every 1-2 years is INSANELY expensive. My car registration on my ISF every 2 years is about 2400.00 US, and each year my road tax (which you get charged just for owning a car of this engine size) is about 900 US dollars.

So yeah...the service better be damn good.

Oh and it costs me about 90 dollars to fill up my tank :P

and you know how fast the ISF blows through gas

Oh yeah....the sales rep at my Lexus dealer here in Kyoto, was trying to entice me into being one of the first owners of an RCF

But after I saw the price, I said "no thx"

RCF in Japan, the starting MSRP is 108,000 US dollars after tax

before any options :P

At my dealer they fill your tank when they do a recall fix. Be sure to take it in empty

I know kinda how you feel. I lived in yokohama for 8 years but being in the military...my fees werent as high as yours.Plus gas on base is half of what it costs out in town. Im moving back this Dec .Ill hit you up if Im in your area. I was thinking of shipping my F over to Japan but in the end its not worth it.

Wow I have not been active in this forum at all haha. Does anyone know how long this recall will take to be addressed in terms of bringing it into the dealership pending Lexus has come out with a way to address the issue? In the article noted it states what needs to be replaced and fixed but when you search up the VIN on the Toyota website, it states that they are still looking for a remedy.
Thanks!
