I get a lot of that too lol.

I think the Joe Z is a touch quiet myself, I'm looking forward to adding headers, I think it'll be perfect then.

If it's horsepower you are after, I'd lose the Takeda.

Have just had mine re-dyno'd with a K&N panel in the stock airbox, and the HPS intake pipe.

It gained almost 10HP from the previous run with the Takeda installed.

It also gained across the mid-range, and the AFR ratio was a lot better.

Can upload my results if you're interested?

Interesting... I had the HPS intake pipe with stock panel and AFE oiled filter (similar to K&N) and it felt like a loss of power in part throttle. Did you notice any driveability issues with the HPS tube?

I also tried a JoeZ pipe for a day and it felt the same, loss of power in the low end.

At WOT you probably won't notice, might even gain a couple HP but during part throttle driving, both the JoeZ and HPS tubes felt sluggish to me. After putting back the stock intake pipe throttle response was immediately sharper with either the stock panel or AFE filter.

I'm thinking the stock intake is so well engineered and the tube diameter is perfectly tuned for this motor, any modifications to it will not be of much benefits.

I'd be interested to try it again with the stock pipe installed. Unfortunately mine was junked by mistake!

Managed to source the second part of the airbox to get it back together, but I'd need to find another stock intake pipe to try it.

The HPS showed gains in the mid-range over the Takeda.

Here's my dyno results. Red was the HPS/K&N run, blue was the Takeda.

Got the exhaust off another local member and installed yesterday. It was a easy install just needed to remove a couple things otherwise it was straight forward, fitment was amazing and performance was very noticeable providing I've only had the car almost a week! Where are you guys strapping the car for dyno use or are you using a hub mount type of dyno?

Since i have already purchased the takeda, im gona give it a bash and see what happens

I will investigate the issue later of using a piggy back management system, viz UniQ as it is developed here in south africa

Yep, mine has started to go quieter as well which is what I want. I believe it is due to the carbon build up as you put more miles on it. However the roar/drone at 2K rpm's is still there.

Bought my Joe Z used 2 years ago and previous owner put 15k miles on it. I have put an additional 30k miles on it and it's as good as it has been since day 1 in sound and condition. Truely a quality piece of craftsmanship. I have added PPE headers with no cats and it's awesome. Takes me back to the time when I was a kid and my dad had a 396 Chevelle that drove my mom nuts. Perfect amount of rawness, gurgle at idle and exhaust smell that makes me love everytime I get to drive it. Never noticed the Joe Z getting quieter but interesting that u guys are. I will say PPE headers are like crack, I was hooked on them the first time I fired up the car.
