Default Splash shield failure at high speed?

So I was at a track event and pushing 150 mph and heard this terrible sound. I look in rear view mirror and saw something black flying through the air. I thought it was my carbon fiber diffuser but turned out to be this.

That's wild man. I'm sorry to see it. Thankfully you are ok and it didn't jack the car up . Just got back from a track day this weekend too. Glad to see another F on the track. The plastic shields underneath the car regularly come off. This is a new one to come off in the wheel well

Wow, which track allows you to exceed 150 in the Northeast? Please let me know!

Ive been 120 several times never a problem but 150 first time. I know the car is designed to go 170 right?

155 a few times and no problems at all. Did you buy your ISF new? If not, probably the previous owner played with the splash shield and didn't secure it properly.

I've been to that one a few times and topped it out, never had an issue with anything.

Its happened to me too. When I first got the car, second day actually, it happened. Clips for the front bumper that secure the front of the fender liner were all broken....the right amount of air got between it.

Default splash shield

This literally happened to my ISF as well. Does anybody know where I can buy another splash shield for the front driver side? And If the splash shield for that side is important or not?
