I recently bought one of these intakes with a K&N panel filter.

My buddy from Houston was kind enough to bring it over last week.
I was really excited about fitting it, but was really annoyed to find it doesn't fit.
The pipe itself isn't finished properly (sharp edge on the lip), the diameter is too large (fits over the airbox pipe), the couplings are too big........
I'll happily get some pictures if anyone wants to see them?
^^^^That is NOT so. The airflow is measured through the tube, and the stock Intake Tube and all after market intakes have the electrical connections on the Intake Tube portion of the Intake.
I got that same intake on my car it fits fine after you cut the couplers down to about half there length , it will not fit with the coupler in there original length try you might but fail you will, just cut them and. damn it fits and looks good to.

I screwed mine back into the second part of the airbox this morning Lou.

I was wondering about the quality of this CF intake, I couldn't quite pull the trigger and get one. I still need to order one. I tried ordering a HPS intake tube off eBay, but got messed around with the seller.
I might just order a Joe Z one and be done with it. They seem the best quality from pics anyway lol!

Hopefully that will sort things out properly.
Whilst I appreciate what others have said about chopping up the couplings, that shouldn't be necessary in my opinion. I also found the carbon pipe is a larger diameter than the airbox or inlet. This means the couplings are the only thing keeping it all together!
Whilst I appreciate there are no fluids going through it like with a radiator pipe, and the pressures are probably not that high, I still don't fancy running it like that.
The HPS ones seem to have had good reviews on here.
Will let you all know how I get on when it arrives next Tuesday.
