How many here are running nitrous? I still have a new NX nitrous setup from my Honda days and I'm contemplating installing it in the Lexus. The IS F is quick but nitrous should make it a bit quicker.

If you're running nitrous, post your setup (wet/dry, single/direct port, #shot, dyno, how long you've had it, if you've had any issues at all, advice on setup, etc.). It'll help those interested to be more informed and be in a better position to decide if it's something they want to add to their car. Has anyone here with an IS F experience a catastrophic engine failure on nitrous?

I personally have, idk about the op. my question has yet to be answered.. I have done searches, I have posted in "nitrous" threads and my question gets overlooked.

Nitrous is safe. I have been running 100 shot for almost a year, and plan on turning the power up. I have pics of my setup on my page, and mods listed below.

ill second ISFPOWER's notion. I really like the control center.

OK here is my question again. Has anyone run a dry shot before the MAF? Then let the MAF and O2 sensors make the appropriate adjustments.

I actually got lucky. They don't tend to take on stuff other than American muscle. Mostly GM. But I went in and asked a load of questions and they took on the project. Really cool guys over there.

The only thing the MAF will compensate for is the temperature change. You won't flow more gas molecules just because you are spraying.

The A/F sensor won't make any adjustments unless you squeeze at less than full throttle (also not recommended by anyone). The ECM goes into open loop at 78% throttle and ignores the A/F sensor, so it really won't know anything about how lean you are with more oxygen than standard air.

The only reason why I ask is because I know a guy who is doing this very thing on a Tundra (I know they arent the same) with great results. He started out at a very small shot (25hp) and it went retarded fat, instantly. Im talking 9.8 AFR's. The more he sprayed the leaner it got. I think he kept it conservitive at around 10.4-10.5 AFR's. He is running high 12's with a crew cab Tundra 5.7L with an intake and nitrous only.

It will likely behave the same, but I would not do this without having instantaneous A/F data visible while testing. The 2UR-GSE is a bit more complicated than the 3UR-FSE in its engine control, but fuel should not be different at all.

Anyone have a direct port setup? I know sometimes small jets get clogged. I wonder if jets for a 20 shot/cylinder would work well.
