Sort of annoying, but oh well.
Can you calibrate the low psi alarm via Techstream?

I have my a 2011 with same light BUT mine is due to the 20" Vossen wheels, I've tried reading the manual but can't figure out how to reset it either. Car drives fine of course, light is just an eye sore.

I didn't say it was. Perhaps the low psi alarm is not configured correctly.

Wouldn't it be easier to check the PSI with a 5 dollar tire pressure meter rather than to "configure" the tire pressure system?

Just saying, I doubt the system is the culprit here.

Yes it would. I guess I got ahead of myself.

Mine started acting up again as soon some cooler weather hit. This time the light stayed on even with consistent 36-37 PSI on all wheels. Tire pressure wasn't even low to begin with. Techstream showed all sensors broadcasting, so I'm not sure what the deal was. I ended up just putting new sensors in new wheels synced as set 2.

Did you reset them using the satellite switch after setting the pressure?

I cycled through the menu using the switch and selected "Initial pressure" when it came up. I also confirmed it was on TPMS set one. Is there another step I needed to take?

Selected, pressed and held until showed Pressure Initial? That's the procedure for setting initial pressure. Page 298 in the 2008 Owner's Manual shows the procedure in detail.

There are batteries in the sensors and they do eventually die, but we haven't seen that yet AFAIK. They are expected to last 7 to 10 years, with 5 being worst case minimum.

The sensors themselves also have an absolute minimum (as I recall it is 27.5 psi) which will cause a low pressure light regardless of initialization pressure.

Thanks for the info. I didn't put too much effort into figuring this out since I knew I was going to be using a second set of sensors anyways. Failing to actually hold in the button was likely the problem. I'll probably use the stock wheels again someday so its good to know the sensors should still be ok.
