Got a baseline dyno BEFORE my mods..
Went to SpecialtyZ in Chatsworth CA today to get baseline dyno'd... the car put down a baseline of 348whp and 335wtq.
What do you guys think? I got 3 pulls, first pull they forgot my parking brake was on and after the whole pull the rear brakes were smoking like a Cheech and Chong movie. It put down 275whp still...lol.
Got 2 more pulls which couldn't be any more consistent, almost identical so he decided to stop there. Told him to turn off traction control, sport mode, manual in 6th gear. Car sounded beastly.
Now time to redyno after a catback.

348 sounds about right, maybe even on the high side. I know guys are putting down 400 with I/H/E, I have never had mine on a dyno but cat back exhaust may add 10-15, my headers is what really makes it. Get headers if u can

You're on the high end of normal for a stock ISF. Good stock numbers and consistent with history for those of us who have Dynod on a DynoJet. However, nobody drives my car but me (mostly) so when I dyno, it's me on the machine. Forgetting to release the emergency is unforgivable IMHO.

HUH?? I didn't even drive the car onto the rollers, one of his techs did so they set it. He should have seen a big red light that showed the parking brake was set. I was pretty upset.
To add icing on the cake, I popped my hood this morning to clean some wax and guess what?? My engine cover is missing. LOL.
Called the shop this morning and they said yup, they have it. They accidentally forgot to put it back on.
So now I have to drive another 20 miles the opposite way of my home in rush hour traffic to pick it up after work.

It's really weird because they are mostly a highly regarded shop, great reviews and seems to have a loyal customer base.
I'm hoping he was just having one of those days, because I have to return to them for any follow up dynos since I had my baseline on their Dynojet.

Pole Position
Considering this I wouldn't return to them for another dyno session. Get your engine cover and find a new shop!
