New owner... looking for new wheels
So I finally pulled the trigger and got the F . I end up getting a 2008 with 40k miles..
I been thinking about getting new wheels for the car and I was thinking about downsizing to 18's. I am weight reduction fanatic and if I go with the wheels I am thinking about getting I will save around 30lbs. I would also like to have a square setup so I can rotate the tires.
Anyway, will 18X9 5x114.3 +35 73.1 wheels work? I am planning on running either 255 or 245 tires..
Here is some pics of my car and some pics of the wheels I am planning on getting. Can any one do a quick photoshop?
Thanks

Why not? IMO they look good. They are flow formed wheels just like Enkei and HRE without the price tag. They will save me a total rotating mass of 30lbs which is huge. With 255/40/18 tires my ride height and wheel gap will be the same as the stock wheels. The only thing that worries me is break caliper clearance and that the front will poke out 22.3mm and the back 20mm. I believe some people have been able to run 20mm spacers without issues.
Thanks

9" wide and et35 should work just fine.. I have 9.5s with et25 and they poke slightly from the fender. (Front and rear)
Wheels arent my cup of tea... but fitment wise they should be fine.

The specs you listed will fit fine all around. How much do the new wheels weigh? Any added loss, especially from rotational mass, is always welcomed.
I would suggest 255/40/18 or 245/35/18, as those are the closest to the specs from the OEM tires.
Best of luck!

The wheels weight 18.5lbs and they look better than the rpf1s IMO.

Here's my F on 12' wheels (19x8.5 fronts) with 20mm spacers & the stock 225's. You might have some tire rubbing with 245's depending on how low you are in the front...also don't forget to pick up some hubcentric rings, our hub bore size is 60.1mm.

Hey Juan, nice to see you over here from Nasioc lol. I too am thinking about jumping ship. How do you like the Lexus compared to your Subaru? My STi is fairly quick (440whp), I know you are coming from a quick WRX, do you think you'll be bored with the power?

The Lexus is my bridge to the GTR which is my ultimate goal. It should not depreciate much or break until GTRs become a little more affordable.
My WRX run 12.0@121 with 340whp on E85 with a stock STi turbo street tires. My last setup used to make 600whp with a 6466 precision turbo on E85 I never took the car to the track but I used to beat supercharged vettes until it blew up .

The Lexus is a grow-up car, is better built, luxurious and comfortable (60k car vs 30k car). I like the ISF a lot and love the sound from the engine. As far as power goes it has decent power and obviously the power delivery is way different than when I had my WRX. The transmission shifts crazy fast and sport mode is really fun with instant power. I sold my WRX because I was tired of reliability issues.
