Rear 'Lexus' badge & 'IS' badge location measurement
Hi all,
this is my first post here, my name is Kuba and I come from Poland.
IS-F I'm going to buy on Saturday has got removed 'Lexus' and 'IS' badges on the rear, but owner has them and I'd like to stick them back on car.
I have two questions:
1. How to stick them on the car? Should I use e.g. 3M tape or special glue?
2. Could one of the IS-F owner with original badges measure specific location of these two badges?
I would be very grateful for your help. Sorry for potential wording/mistakes in English
Best regards,
Kuba

The trunk moulding definitely came with holes to locate the nameplates. If the holes have been filled you’ll need to get measurements from another car as Lexus doesn’t list placement information if there are locating holes. :\
I understand that’s what you’re doing here, haha.
Otherwise, I’d look it up for you.

Hi, many thanks!
@MisterSkiz car year is 2011 (facelift), production I guess by VIN number is October 2010.
@msgs350 @Jeff Lange , after your replies I asked seller and he told me that there are 'two small holes' - could you please let me know if there should be one hole for 'Lexus' badge and one hole for 'IS' badge or two holes per one badge?

Guys, I talked with the seller and there is a whole in place of missing 'IS', but there are no wholes for 'Lexus' badge. He has got this 'Lexus' badge telling me that it was placed on kind of foam/glue. This car is EU specs and he is sure that trunk was not replaced/repaired/repaired - any ideas if this can be true? How to verify it?

Interesting. The holes were only present on cars produced before June, 2010. After that, the emblem was updated without locating pins.
So there won't be any holes behind the Lexus nameplate on 2011+ IS F's and some late 2010 production cars.
All the nameplates are held in place with double-sided tape. Owner's information has been completely correct thus far.
When you buy a new "Lexus" nameplate from Lexus, it will come with a transfer sheet that will locate the nameplate for you, as seen here:

@Jeff Lange , many thanks! So it sounds reliably that only 'IS' and 'F' have wholes in this case, while production date of this car is 10/2010 (while model is 2011, facelifting)?
