I think the price will depend on the extent of the work. Here in AZ I have see people charge 300-800 depending on the car and how bad it is.

Also depends what you are sealing it with. Ie traditional wax/sealant is cheaper than some of the new semi-permanent coatings(cquartz finest, opticoat, etc)

Amen to that! I would never have bought a black car, but the wife insisted. I really wanted USB or silver, but she vetoed both. Already have a silver Supra, and USB is "too flashy".

In your opinion why do you say this?

Who uses chamois now a day ?! Go to chemicalguys.com and get a few waffle microfiber drying towels.

Because chamois picks up the dirt and small particles and you know where you going to be rubbing after it picks up. For what I understand, microfiber lifts up the particles and it doesn't let them to go back to the car cuz of the fibers. My buddy is a professional detailer, and when he found out I was using a chamois he almost beat me with it

With a big microfiber towel, you fold it couple times, and you wont apply too much pressure while drying and less chance of scratching also.

ive detailed obsidian black before. very soft clear coat. although its easy to buff and get all swirls out because of te softness, it actually gets swirled easily as well. like a double edged sword. ive been more than happy with lexus' clear coat. very good for stock paint.
