Default ISF @ Dragons Tail

I make an annual trip to the dragons tail in the beginning of august and this year I decided to take the F. Its been a year since I've owned the car and this was going to be its first major road trip and first exposure to cornering hard. I was unsure how comfortable I was going to be and I thought to myself I was going to start off slow and drive within my ability. Well, the only thing I can say is the car was fantastic on the road. I found myself flying through the turns immediately and had complete faith in the car and its ability. I felt the car was very predictable, and learned quickly to feather the throttle out of the turn in 2nd gear or else it'll slide. the torque out of a turn is amazing. I drove everything with stability and traction off. The engine braking in our car is fantastic as well, I found myself using that most of the time and was able to save lots of braking. Here are a couple of pics. Just wanted to share my experience. If you guys are not familiar with the road and have never been, its definitely a road you need to drive once in your lifetime.

Looks like fun. One day I'll take the car up there.

Hey there! where you located in TN? I am in Chattanooga. I am planning to drive on the Dragon this November with the Subaru group from Atlanta.

Nice shots! Same color combo as mine. Mercury Metallic looks clean.

This was my first experience in the turns. Three days after purchase (almost three years ago) took it out on the track.

very cool. If you like the Dragon tail you should try taking it to a track. Imagine pushing it harder than you have ever pushed a car AND all that with no worry about tickets or citations

An annual F meet for a Dragon run would be a blast (F the Dragon?).
Maybe something like this could replace the East Coast meet or be done in addition to it.

I've taken my integra to Palm Beach International Raceway and I can tell the F would be a blast on the track for sure. Luckily, I had no issues with cops present on the dragon this year.

That would be awesome. I go with an integra group and we stay at the Fontana Village, great place to stay and have cabins.

I'm IN. Took the rocket for a few passes back on Memorial Day. It's a blast if the bikes stay out of the way.

I'm interested too. I've never been to the Dragon's Tail before and I'd love to give my tuned IS350 a run on that road with other Lexus enthusiasts!
