I've never actually seen a fully dipped car in person that I'm aware of, but every once in a while I'll come across something from Dip Your Car on youtube and some of the work they do is very interesting. Especially the newer color-shifting stuff.
Dipped cars can look good if you do it right and use the spray gun. I've seen some amazing jobs but most dipped cars look like crap. It's typically the matte black cars that look the worst.
LexusNN's IS-F is a good example of a good dip. Matte white is a good color.
See I was thinking about Matte White with pearl or Desert Tan (because on my military background). I know how to apply paint and can do a very good job at it. I have seen some cars in person, done right and they look great, and I have seen some pretty jacked up jobs too. All tiger striped looking.
I like the way mine turned out but the matte looked cheap to me. I did get a lot of compliments but I peeled it all off in less than a week. It helped me appreciate the pretty red more
I was wondering how long it will take till you peel it off.. but wow only 1 week! At least you got the experience out of it right? lol.... I like the red... the matte white was decent but since the isf comes in pearl white it doesnt compare.
I like the dipped F. I have used TONS of dip on my IS-F and my GMC Acadia. I LOVE THE STUFF! Lexus NN, it looks good! I have a red F and I dislike the color. I believe there is an orange dipped F out there, but I want to see a navy blue dipped one! That is the color I'd do. Pics of my taillights (and logos lol) below!
Took like a half hour to peel off. Probably a couple hours to get all of the stuff in the cracks between door jams, headlights, windows, fenders, bumpers, etc.
