and now my Tom's diffuser is busted...what should i do? repair and paint it gloss black like advised by khoa or take the reimbursement money and go buy another diffuser? haha....#firstworldproblems i know.
it was one expensive accident...not for the other guy's car though, only his license plate frame was damaged
oh wellz, insurance to the rescue

Ouch! First off, hopefully you're well. Then find out how much it'll cost to repair the Tom's and paint over it gloss black. At the same time, I'd be inclined to go with a different diffuser if you still want your CF look in the rear. Hopefully the damage isn't too severe in the rear, but it will be a substantial time away from your ride. But the main thing is that you're doing well.

yea i think i'm just gonna bloss black it and call it a day...maybe a semi transparent look, with a slight look of cf.
the accident, it was like a 5-10mph hit while i was at a stop, healthwise, i'm fine...other than my ego, i was plenty pissed haha, weekend driving, and blammo...
it's at the shop right now, looks like the insurance company is giving me 2500 bones WOOT!

I had a similar accident when i had my Ventross CF rear diffuser on. Got tapped in the rear... crack and dint a small secton of the diffuser. Since most body shop won't dear to repair carbon fiber; they quoted me for a full price of the piece. And i updgrade to a Tom's Only bad thing is...it's going to show a collison record on your carfax...which is going to reduce the resale value a little bit.

depending on where it was damaged and how extensive it is, you can repair it and paint most of it black but mask off some of the CF as accents. I did that on a damaged carbon fiber hood (only reverse cowl section was left in CF) and it turned out great.
