Default What Low Profile car jack to buy?

My car is rather low and I'd need to find a jack that will fit under it. Prefer a lightweight aluminum one that will last a bit. Anyone have some good suggestions?

I got an Arcan about a month ago. Only used it once so far but it was money.

They also have an aluminum lineup. They're pricey though.

I would get this one also if I did it again, the longer reach would be nice.

I got the short one as I have ramps already. I bought it when it was on sale for like 45 bucks 50% off...couldn't resist!

I would also recommend ramps too. They are quicker to use than jacks. I got some rhino ramps I picked up at Advanced Auto Parts. Used them on a lot of vehicles. I only really use the jack if I have to take the wheels off or need the whole car to be jacked up on fours. Oil changes and stuff I use ramps

Not much from Harbor Freight is great quality but these jacks are pretty impressive. I've had mine for a few years and use it everyday with no complaints. They sell an inexpensive warranty for it as well which makes it a pretty safe bet.

We use this one (OTC) with my wife's lowered track cars and it's held up for probably 8 years so far with no issues. The reviews on this link though make me think the product may be now manufactured differently than when we bought it.

Amazon.com: OTC 1532 2-Ton Capacity Aluminum Racing Jack: Automotive Amazon.com: OTC 1532 2-Ton Capacity Aluminum Racing Jack: Automotive

If you do get one of the cheaper ones from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool, definitely get the warranty as mentioned above. Before the OTC we had two of them, both failed and the warranty was well worth the small $$ add-on.

Costco has one (an Arcan, usually around $100) that is good for lowered cars, but is part steel and pretty heavy. I've also heard good things about one that Griot's Garage sells but like most things there it's probably marked up 25% in price.

I have been running this for 5 years - works well and is very low. Got it at Costco.

Picked up the HF 2 ton but with my side diffuser, it's still about a couple inches short of the jack point. I guess I'll try the ramps.
