Default JOEZ PTS exhaust

Any tips on the install please?

Also, I can't understand why my pipes are not polished?

The website says that the back pipes are polished....

Its hard to see anything from picture you posted but from what I can tell they seem to have shine. The mufflers will be highly polished everything else stainless steel from what I can see they look right to me. Just to let you know I have Joe Z PTS exhaust.

installing exhaust system pretty straight forward. Use WD40 or something similar to remove the rubber hangers, makes it a lot easier. A friend helps too since the parts are bulky. Youll need a O2 sensor removal socket to take off the O2 sensors. Do not let the O2 sensor wires to twist tight when you install them. Youll want to start disassembling exhaust from the mufflers going to front, and then install new parts from front to back. Make sure all bolts are tight with no leaks.

Mufflers are polished but the rest of the system and piping is just stainless. This is one for the new IS

New for 2014 all the pipes are now finished in Brushed 304 Stainless Steel...

In the hardware bag, there are some basic install tips..

I will say this is not for the novice..

Glad to see the system made it to South Africa safely

Enjoy,

Joe Z

Use silicone spray for the rubber hangers instead of WD40. WD40 is corrosive to rubber.

Thanks for the input guys. Im really anxious to get this installed and terrorise the streets.

Joe, i was really looking forward to those polished pipes. What was the reason for the change?

Can i get it polished myself?

Sure if you have a good Polisher in town..

Over time we saw that the Brushed finished had better visual appeal maintenance wise, compared to the polished finished.

another tip is before you fire the car up, wipe down all the surfaces of grease and grime, it may burn in and brown the finish if you dont

I use dish soap diluted about 25/75 with water. Works fine and rinses off the metal and the rubber with no lasting impact.
