Connect the dots for me here. You are violating Federal Emissions law by removing the catalytic converters from your car, attempting to defraud an emissions inspection by hacking your OBDII status reporting with an illegal electronic device, and THEY are the idiots? Be thankful they are not concerned enough to really dig into it. Fines up to $25k can be levied against you for what you are doing.

Sometimes you guys make me laugh really hard.

Lobux, take that with a grain of salt. I was making jokes(probably not funny) about our lovely state and how it runs. I am fully aware of what I'm doing and have been down this road before with many other makes of cars. Just not this senario. it just baffles me and my techs along with the manufacturer. That's it.

I took my F last winter and it passed. I'll see if I can dig the report up - but I recall there were some "not ready" portions also. FWIW, I went to Vernon Hills

I will, but between this thread and the California emissions thread, I'm concerned people aren't thinking about what would happen if someone knew to search on this stuff. It could cripple the whole thing.

well I sent the module back to SIKKY for them to check if everything was ok. they said they tested it 5 times and everything is reading ok. I'm having it reinstalled this afternoon, along with my wrench checking all the wiring, then doing the drive cycle. really hope that somehow it will work otherwise I will have to put the OEM manifolds back on the car. If I have to do that I may just sell my headers rather than having to do this every two years!

there must be a new rule as ToothDoc passed with the same issue last winter as stated above.

I hope there isn't a rule change... otherwise I'll have to go back to stock too in a year. Having said that, I've been contemplating going back to stock anyways for the purpose of being able to sell it easier/trade it in to a stealership.

i'm wondering if the mechanism of action for the sikky o2 sims is that they only make the car status "not ready" and that they will never come to a ready status...

the tech at sikky said that they should read ready. doing the driving cycle this weekend if nothing changes then getting two new O2 sensors then repeating the drive cycle again. if all else fails then OEM manifolds will go on.

have not had the time to get this resolved yet. I did get an extension until the end of the year but hopefully next week I will get new O2 sensor's ordered and put on. then I will do the drive cycle and pray!
