Default Phone media not connecting to BT

I used to be able to play music in the car off my phone, but no more. I think this is a problem with the Android upgrades, not the car. The phone itself connects fine, but the media will not connect, and the media button in the phone setup mode will not engage. Have any of you experienced this and found a way to solve it?

Unpair your phone completely (as in having the nav "forget" your phone, and vice versa) and then re-register your phone. I'm sure this will solve most Bluetooth pairing issues.

i have the same problem since i switched from the note 2 to note 3. Connects to the phone perfectly fine but playing music, you have to unpair and pair bs.

Had this same problem as more than one phone was registered to the audio Bluetooth. Upgraded to the G3 and wouldn't play through the car. If you hit setup, audio, Bluetooth audio settings, then register. Register the new phone and you should be good.

Does this fix work for the iPhone, as well? I've deleted my phone and reregistered it twice, and I still can't get it to play music over BT. Talking on the phone using BT is not an issue, but playing music is a no-go. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I tried deleting the phone and re-establishing the link. When the phone is recognized, both the phone audio and media audio are lit. Then after about 5 seconds, the media audio becomes unchecked and the box grays out, you can't turn it back on. Has anyone else seen this?

That's what happened to mine when I tried to register a new phone. You have to pair it through the audio settings too. Have you tried what I posted above because that worked for me.

Yes, that worked!! YOu have to register the media separate from the phone, and it doesn't prompt you for it. You guys are great.

well if u are having that problem I notice that u must register the phone for hands free and on the audio setting. so u have to register it 2 times one for hands free talking and the other for audio streaming. you can't do both at the same time.
