Default Blue rims on black ISF

Ok, so i have another question, and i need some opinions. I want to get a set of 18" Avid1 Av.06 rims in Blue. I have and 08 ISF. My parents think that modified rims look childish and unprofessional. And yes i am spending my own money on modding my car. They keep joking that they wont let me park it in front of the house lol. But i want to know, im going away to college in August of 2015, should i just wait till then to get the set of rims and just stay stock for now? How can i make them understand?

first rule in modding, give ZERO F@#*S about what someone else says about your mods. Period.

Why are you going with 18" wheels?

Respecting someones opinion is one thing however modding your car the way you want to the contrary of those opinions are another thing.

Get the exact rims you want if you are convinced they will make you adore your car each and every day. You're paying for it, its your car, the folks don't drive it...............

Blue wheels on a black car isn't bad at all, IMO. Lighter colored wheels showcases the spokes easier, but you can counter that with a lighter caliper color. But while it's fine to respect your parents' view on modding, it's entirely up to you. I've sen blue wheels on a black F and it worked out nicely, presuming you do other things to it (a drop, side skirts, calipers).....just anything that doesn't make it blend in the wheel well. That's the last thing you want.

I only have one rule to modding. Replace with better than OEM.

Save the blue rims for a Civic with a fart can exhaust. U have purchased a real car and don't put blue wheels on it. Yes it's ur car and ur $$ and of course u can do what u want but 95% of people will see ur car with blue wheels and they will say "Way to ruin a beautiful car."

The blue on black can be pulled off very well. Don't pay attention to negative comments about doing it.
