That's a rad vid to get to know about the car, So the trans is roughly about the same size as the 350's, it basically shares the same diff so that leaves two things that the v8 sits further forward or the chassis is longer? Not that it matters a whole lot at this point dss is in production mode now!

Os giken arrived (thanks to mikelucci), figs diff bushings to hold it together. Now we wait for giken oil an the dss shaft, next weekend I should be installing. Any thoughts on running the is350 gearing in the diff?! I daily this thing so I'm not really too sure to keep it or swap it for the stock gearing.

^^^^There are threads here, but quite old as I recall, of folks who tried the IS350 gearing. Everybody who tried it went back to stock gearing.

But, if we're evaluating the effect the dss driveshaft would have, any other change made at the same time would mask that.

I'm thinking about this, if it works out. Please leave the gearing alone.

I'll test out the driveshaft before installing the diff so I can give a better report on how it works. I found the thread you are talkin about and another thread about a 3.266 r&p swap which would be more ideal I think.
