Default 08-09 F: highly recommend doing zero point calibration

Since we don't have a mechanical diff, the system thinks you are over steering if you had a major alignment done. My TCS would always kick in on the slightest slowest turn onto a street out of my neighborhood. And would also kick in at launch while just leafing the throttle, even slapping on 285s in the back. Well I just did the ZPC and now it doesn't kick in on the same turn out of my neighborhood like it would always do and I did a couple of launches and TCS didn't kick in until shifting from 1st to 2nd. I have been dealing with this fir the longest time

Safest way is to follow the TSB, using the Techstream - steering angle setting is usually the very last step after an alignment. If you have had an alignment recently at a shop with good equipment, you may not even know its been done.

Techstream is the way to go... but if u can't get to one of those, google "zero point calibration"... supposedly there is a manual way by shorting out the TS and CG pins... I didn't research any further about it and not sure how year specific it is so use at your own risk...

You have a 2010 so really doesn't apply to your F...

But dealership services are expensive... and having the resources of this great forum can draw back that cost greatly... but i do agree peace of mind but i only went to the dealership when i was under warranty just to keep record everything was done at the dealership in case any warranty issues did arrive... and even still i brought in all my own parts/oil and just paid for labor to save money on the marked up parts prices...

didnt look at the year. Sorry. At least its one less thing I have to worry about during the next service. She going to need 30k service soon and a new set of Michelin PSS or Bridgestone RE11s. Its going to be a close to 2k visit next time she goes in At least she'll be tip top for my upcoming track days in the cooler month. I am almost leaning towards the RE11s after reading hat the 911 clubs and even SCCA use them as a race tire
